OK. Brakes on while we all try and figure out what just happened in 2008. Big business pulled the old smoke and mirrors trick and made a room full of elephants look like a cage full of hamsters. And as the smoke finally cleared, we all took notice—"those are some big-ass hamsters!" So where is this going? Basically, this shocking difference between perception and reality has thrown us the the biggest economic curve ball in recent memory. The combination of shock and disbelief has left most of us with an overwhelming sense of uncertainty and stopped many businesses right in their tracks, not knowing what to do next. You may be standing ready, but you feel uneasy. You're starting to ponder new ideas and directions. You're trying to visualize the future of your organization. You my friend are ready to rethink everything. So congratulations—we couldn't he happier for you!
