With generous support from the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Greater Camden Partnership launches the Camden Community GreenUp, a project meant to deliver to the city and citizens of Camden the benefits of superb vacant lot stabilization. Right now, the City of Camden is in the midst of a massive revitalization. But that effort is hampered by the vast number of vacant lots that drain the city's resources and quality of life. With the start of the Camden Community GreenUp, that will change.

On Monday, September 14th, 2009, GCP and its volunteers began "cleaning and greening" two sites in the Cooper Plaza Neighborhood, where our work will complement the revitalization effort already underway. By mid-October, a total of 50 (yes 50) vacant lots will undergo the same transformation because of the generous support of sponsor organizations and volunteers. Spark Creative Group is proud to spread the word and champion the core theme that collectively, WE CAN DO ANYTHING! And by collectively, we're speaking to you ;)

You can register at anytime for this period of GreenUp and others to come on the new White House United We Serve website serve.gov. Help breathe life and hope back into these areas in the city. We are all a part of this larger community and it needs you. You can help your neighbors take their city back and experience the change first-hand.
