Good Things Happen in Threes
When three of the largest counties in southern New
Jersey decided to collaborate and drive business to the region, they turned
to Spark Creative Group. Their objective was to create a cohesive brand
design for the newly formed Tri-county Economic Summit and encourage attendance
by some of the most prestigious business leaders in the region. SCG created
a logo identity, campaign concept and a direct mail and invitation package
for the event. This collaboration is in its second year in 2007.

Spark Awarded Design Contract for The Pop Shop, Café and Creamery
The Pop Shop Cafe and Creamery will open with "one of the most unique
interpretations of fountain shop nostalgia and futuristic blue plate sophistication,"
says Kim Brooks, the project's Senior Designer. "From the logotype
to the interior photographs, the idea has been to not re-do or recreate
the typical throwback feels, but to imply nostalgia and predict its future."
The crown of the project is a custom metalwork exterior sign which will
actually be a 3-D rendering of the logo itself. With its sleek aluminum
frame and glossy candy-like spheres "it will look like a cafe and
creamery 2020 but make you feel like you're going back to 1960 at the
same time."

Camden County and South Jersey Tourism Corporation
Charge SCG with Designing Regatta Campaign
Cooper River Park in Camden County, NJ hosts some of the nation's finest
regattas. Its proximity to Philadelphia and New Jersey suburbs make the
regattas an excellent opportunity to drive tourism dollars to the areas
in and around the activities.
This year, spearheaded by the Camden County Freeholders and South Jersey
Tourism Corporation, the Spring and Summer regattas would take on a whole
new shape as Spark Creative packaged and promoted the activities, making
them a highly visible and meaningful reason to visit South Jersey.
"The idea was to create a nautical look that would feel like you
were going to spend a day at the races, shop, wine and dine - like you
were in a nautical or shore area. The quaint towns near the park very
much add to that experience," says Chris Rocco, Creative Director.
"We wanted to drive the Ivy League traffic to our Ivy League towns
ensuring that visitors could build a day that suited them and would encourage
them to return."

Spark Unveils New Website for Collingswood, NJ
WIth their new branding campaign based chiefly around
photography of the historic theater and an intriguing "who knew"
message, the next obvious evolution was the website. Following a year
of restructuring back end files and cleaning-house, the new collingswood.com
was released. Though it has its share of "under construction"
sections, the borough plans to have the site fully populated by the holiday
season for 2005.
Unique to the site is its format of center banners touting Collingswood's
many events by public and private groups that run continuously throughout
the year.
Spring Fashion Issue of South Jersey Magazine Hits Newsstands
South Jersey Magazine Editor Laura Webb-Barrett
had an idea to ask media celebrities to model fashions for Spring 2005.
The end result took form when blue screens, green screens and city backdrops
became pop art canvasses for station personalities from Fox 29, NBC 10,
Comcast, KYW 3 and others. Working with renowned fashion photographer
Gary Mattie, the shoot produced color conscious and saturated images of
our models completely out of their element in ways that rang true with
readership and advertisers alike.

modern and understated restaurant, he pulls out all the stops. One that
included a visit to our studio to discuss his "gallery / loft space
/ Milan feel." After many meetings, sketches and espressos, the result
is an interior, logo design and integrated marketing campaign that hit
his customers head-on and laid the groundwork for the continuing accolades
from both reviewers and guests.
